October's Night Sky Brings 3 Meteor Showers, Peak Saturn, Northern Lights, and a Final Milky Way Show

October's night sky will feature three separate meteor showers, Saturn reaching its brightest and closest point to Earth for the year, visible northern lights, and a final good view of the Milky Way before it fades into winter glare. The overlapping events make it an unusually packed month for naked-eye stargazing. Skywatchers will need dark skies away from city light to catch most of it.
