if the RAE can time-gate a laugh, my landlord can time-gate my deposit

RAE authorizes "Muajaja" instead of "jaja" for the month of October

Spain's Royal Spanish Academy announced a temporary rule allowing "muajaja" — a Halloween-flavored evil cackle — to replace "jaja" for the entire month of October. An academy member explained that laughter has seasons, and responding to an October meme with plain "jajaja" is technically an April laugh. The body authorized variants including "muajajaja," "mua-ha-ha" and the more menacing "MUJAJAJA," valid in social media, daily conversation and family WhatsApp groups. The measure runs from October 1 to 31 and expires on November 1, when "jajaja" returns or "jojojo" signals Christmas mode.
