A survey of 2,227 US adults found 11.8% reported a preexisting health condition worsened after COVID-19 infection. Respiratory problems were most common at 32%, followed by fatigue and pain. Researchers analyzed data collected from July 2023 to January 2025 across four regions. The preprint study has not been peer-reviewed.
