Toppled Baltimore Columbus statue returns in marble replica to White House grounds
A marble replica of the Columbus statue that was toppled in Baltimore's Little Italy in 2020 has been installed on the White House grounds, per a submission circulating online. The original was pulled down and dumped in the harbor during nationwide protests. The new version returns the explorer to a federal lawn, this time in stone rather than bronze, with no word on who commissioned it or who paid.
