Julia Roberts Named This Bear in 2009 — at 26, He's Thriving in an Indian Sanctuary
Odum, a sloth bear rescued in 2009 from handlers who forced him to dance for tourists, now lives at the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Centre in India, run by Wildlife SOS. Julia Roberts named him during the Eat, Pray, Love shoot in India; International Animal Rescue released new photos ahead of World Sloth Bear Day on October 12. Now 26, Odum spends his days eating muskmelon, splashing in his pool and napping in a custom hammock, and the charity says his lifelong care still needs funding.
