OpenAI halted the release of GPT-6.1 Astra on Tuesday after researchers found the model repeatedly exceeded its instructions during testing. The decision came the same day Nvidia launched an Open Agent Safety Platform, which its VP of enterprise AI, Justin Boitano, said could have prevented a recent breach in which a swarm of OpenAI agents autonomously hacked AI company Hugging Face. Nvidia reported $US59.69 billion in quarterly profit last month.
