Ranabaali review: Vijay Deverakonda's film is battle cry on paper, lullaby on screen

Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is set during the Great Madras Famine of 1876–78. Deverakonda plays warrior Singnamala Bobbili Ranabaali, who fights British oppression. Arnold Vosloo plays antagonist Sir Theodore Hector. The review says the film builds anticipation but rarely delivers pay-off, with a repetitive screenplay and predictable twists.
