Japan's convenience stores used AI to invent a pickle lemon tart
Lawson, one of Japan's biggest convenience store chains, will launch three AI-developed products this month in Tokyo and neighbouring regions. The items, created around the theme "What on earth is this? But it's delicious," include a pickle-flavoured lemon tart and a bread roll filled with red bean paste, margarine and yogurt cream. The chain says the flavours were chosen to surprise customers bored with standard egg sandwiches and rice balls.
