A study by Convovo, led by Cornell professor Tapan Parikh, found that when asked via API to name a candidate in nearly 500 races, SpaceXAI’s Grok 4.7 recommended the Republican 92% of the time and OpenAI’s GPT-6.1 Sol picked the Democrat 97% of the time. The consumer apps refused to answer, which OpenAI says is the experience most users have. SpaceXAI did not comment.
