Chris Appleton Becomes First Celeb Out of Strictly 2026 After Baywatch Dance-Off Loss

Chris Appleton and pro partner Amy Dowden became the first pair eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2026, losing the Movie Week dance-off to Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu. The judges — Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke — unanimously saved Jaime's Pretty Woman routine over Chris and Amy's Baywatch-themed dance. The couple were left in tears, with Dowden calling herself 'heartbroken' and posting an emotional Instagram message about their friendship. Craig Revel Horwood, not Shirley Ballas, held the casting vote this series.
