Wearable touchscreen weaves its way into your garment fabric
Researchers at the National University of Singapore developed a wearable touchscreen woven directly into garment fabric. The prototype sleeve incorporates 54 electronic fibers, each containing 96 LEDs, to create a 96-by-54-pixel display. This 168-by-105-millimeter screen can show videos, display notifications, measure body temperature, and respond to touch, integrating microelectronics into a single 1-millimeter-thick thread.
