Gig Workers Paid to Film Themselves Doing Dishes to Train Robots

Thousands of gig workers worldwide, including 23-year-old Mohamad Dunggio in Gorontalo, Indonesia, are being paid between $3 and $10 an hour to film themselves doing household chores with head-mounted cameras, generating 'egocentric training data' for robotics companies in the US, India, and Argentina.
