Leading Chinese mathematician and Fields Medalist Shing‑Tung Yau launched the Yau Laboratory Alliance for Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence in Beijing on Sunday, bringing together eight institutions and targeting a network of more than 1,000 scientists to develop AI models for mathematical research and narrow China’s gap with the United States.
