WhatsApp users report account bans after signing up for Instinct AI agent
Several WhatsApp users claimed on social media that their accounts were banned after signing up for Instinct, an AI agent that replies to messages on their behalf. One user from India, Atharva Padhye, said his account was banned immediately and that WhatsApp support did not respond. WhatsApp warned that linking to unofficial third-party apps can lead to a permanent ban. Instinct CEO Noah Shinn said a payment configuration problem caused a temporary service outage, which has since been fixed.
