four shorts, thirteen cycles, one billboard

AI Film 'Gods Don't Give Gifts' Sets First Trailer, Plans Oscar Bid for Animated Feature

AI studio Fable pushed the U.S. release of 'Gods Don't Give Gifts' — four anthology shorts by YouTuber Gossip Goblin, real name Zack London — from Oct. 30 to Dec. 4 to line up with Oscar season. The trailer debuts in theaters Friday, with a poster rollout across U.S. multiplexes and a Los Angeles billboard campaign next month. Fable says it will submit the film for best animated feature, book advance screenings for Academy voters and critics, and is banking on the campaign to land a historic nomination. The Academy's rules say AI neither helps nor hurts a film's odds.
