Meta patches Muse exploit that let attackers control the AI agent
Security researcher Patrick Wardle found a zero-day in Meta's Muse macOS app that let anyone with local access to a device reroute Muse's transcription from Meta's servers to their own endpoint, handing the attacker full control of the victim's Muse account. Meta has since patched the flaw. The bug was enabled by two design decisions: running dictation in the cloud rather than on-device, and letting any app alter Muse's undocumented settings.
