Scentronic tech lets you smell the internet

Researchers at Ohio State University and Zhejiang Laboratory have built a system that captures odors with an electronic nose and reproduces them remotely via a device called Scentronic. The prototype has been demonstrated with beer, cake, coffee, oranges and red wine. The team is now working on more sensitive sensors and larger datasets, but commercial use is still years away.
