It Rained Fish in Texas: The Storm That Sparked a Frenzy and a Wildlife Mystery
In December 2021, residents of Texarkana, Texas, filmed small fish flopping on the ground after a storm, and the clips went viral within hours. Meteorologists attributed the event to waterspouts that lifted the fish from local waterways and dropped them miles inland, though no one confirmed the exact pond of origin. The fish were identified as common freshwater species, none of them sky-dwelling, and the mystery quietly joined the long history of 'animal rain' reports worldwide.
