nothing says 'I love you like a father' like secretly recording your father figure for a client.

AI Grief-Bot Dramedy 'Talk to Me When You Are Dead' at Busan Asian Project Market

Singaporean filmmaker Alvin Lee is pitching his debut feature, "Talk to Me When You Are Dead," at the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Project Market. The near-future black dramedy follows widowed programmer Yong Yi, who builds a digital replica of his late wife Kate, then launches a startup selling grief-bots to the bereaved after a friend spots the market. He is later hired to secretly build a replica of Mr. Yun, a terminally ill architect he comes to love like a father. Anthony Chen and Gina Tan produce; the script is in its third draft.
