'Coven Academy' Creator Breaks Down Dark Magic and Deleted Kiss Scene

Coven Academy creator Tim Federle said Disney moved the witch drama off Disney Channel to Freeform because its violence and dark themes fit a CW-style show like The Vampire Diaries. The series stars Malina Weissman as Briar, a New Orleans witch investigating her mother's murder, with Tiffani Thiessen as headmaster Miss Graves. Federle also confirmed a deleted kiss scene and said he has seven-season ambitions for the show.
