Lakers Bargain Free Agent Ziaire Williams Could Save PJ Washington Trade

The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly considering signing free agent Ziaire Williams as a low-cost option that could preserve their ability to complete a trade for PJ Washington. Williams, a former lottery pick, remains unsigned and would cost the Lakers only a minimum contract, giving the team flexibility under the salary cap. The move would allow Los Angeles to keep key salary-matching pieces available for a potential deal, addressing both roster depth and trade maneuverability.
