Skeet Ulrich Says His 'Scream' Arc Died When Spyglass Fired Melissa Barrera: 'There's No Billy Loomis' Without Her

Skeet Ulrich, who played Billy Loomis in 1996's Scream and returned for the 2022 and 2023 sequels, says his planned three-film arc is dead because Spyglass fired co-star Melissa Barrera in 2023 over her social media posts about Gaza. Ulrich told US Weekly there's "no Billy Loomis" without Barrera's Sam Carpenter, the daughter his ghost haunted. Neither Ulrich nor Barrera appears in Scream 7; Matthew Lillard, who returned for it, has publicly said he feels "ashamed" he didn't say no.
