Physicists May Have Inadvertently Built a Qubit That Can Run Backward in Time

Korean physicists demonstrated a quantum bit capable of evolving in two opposing temporal directions simultaneously. Tai Hyun Yoon of Korea University identified this phenomenon in data from a 2018 experiment originally designed for a different purpose. The system uses entangled photon pairs and phase adjustments to reverse specific quantum interactions, creating a superposition of forward and backward evolution without actually reversing time itself.
