Social media comedian Frankie LaPenna, 29, with over 20 million followers, fought the 1.8m-tall Rekbot — a remote-controlled humanoid built to resemble the T-800 — inside an MMA cage in San Francisco on Sept 18. The 42-second clip shows LaPenna landing punches before the robot floors him with two kicks. Robotics start-up REK staged the match to promote its human-versus-robot VR game, called it a turning point in history, and teased that the Rekbot wasn't even the final boss.
