Mumbai Mayor Slams Dia Mirza for Firecracker Appeal, Calls It Anti-Hindutva
Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde attacked actor Dia Mirza after the BMC removed Mirza's video urging people to avoid firecrackers during Diwali. Tawde accused Mirza of being against Hindutva and said she had no right to lecture Hindus on celebrating their festivals. The video was taken down following an objection from Mumbai BJP chief Ameet Satam, while clips featuring Madhuri Dixit and Ajinkya Rahane remained online. The BMC offered no explanation.
