Universal's new rollercoaster is too loud for the neighbors who moved next to Universal

Universal Studios Hollywood will add a second sound barrier around Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift after residents near the park complained about rider screams. At a meeting with at least 350 attendees, park executives also agreed the coaster — which opened September 16 and hits 72 mph — will not run between 8 and 9 a.m. for the rest of the year. Existing mitigations include a sound barrier and rider cars designed to turn away from the neighborhood.
