Delhi's air turns toxic on Diwali eve, AQI hits 369

Delhi's average Air Quality Index reached 369 on Saturday, placing the city in the 'very poor' category. Visibility dropped significantly due to fog, with 16 monitoring stations recording 'severe' air quality. The IIT Delhi station reported the highest AQI at 452. Experts attribute the pollution spike to vehicle emissions, crop residue burning in neighboring states, and unfavorable weather conditions ahead of the Diwali festival.
