Former SNL Star Fires Back at Shane Gillis Monologue Amid Outrage
A former SNL cast member publicly responded to Shane Gillis's monologue after backlash erupted online. Gillis, who was hired and fired by SNL in 2019 over resurfaced racist jokes, returned as host this weekend. Several former cast members and critics objected to material in the monologue, and the ex-star's reaction became its own viral moment. Gillis has not issued a direct response to the criticism.
