Manny Malhotra prepares for new challenge behind Canucks bench

Manny Malhotra, a former Canucks player and longtime NHL assistant coach, is preparing for a larger role on Vancouver's coaching staff. He previously served as an assistant with the Toronto Maple Leafs and has been a player development coach. The Canucks have made significant changes to their bench, with Malhotra expected to take on more responsibility. His promotion comes after the team missed the playoffs for the third straight season and continues a rebuild that has cycled through multiple coaches since 2013.
