Paul McCartney waited 24 years to call — not to apologize, to ask if Phil had any Beatles stuff lying around for the charity auction.

Phil Collins gives surprising update on 24-year feud with Paul McCartney

Phil Collins told Piers Morgan that his 24-year estrangement from Paul McCartney began at the 2002 Queen's Jubilee rehearsals, when Collins asked McCartney to sign a rare first-edition Hunter Davies Beatles book and McCartney replied to then-wife Heather Mills, 'He's a big Beatles fan, is our little Phil?' Collins, 75, says he thought 'you arsehole' and admits he likely made more of it than McCartney intended. McCartney, 84, recently called after hearing Collins was soliciting memorabilia for a King's Trust charity auction, asked 'What is all this about?', and the pair reconciled by phone.
