Criminal group hacks Adif and Renfe websites using AI, steals 500 GB of data
A criminal group used an AI system to attack the websites of Adif and Renfe over several days, stealing 500 GB of data. The hackers found a backdoor into Adif's web, moved to its cloud, then entered Renfe's site; a human error at Adif may have helped. Renfe says only limited, non-sensitive data was taken, but the stolen files likely include the passenger database. The case is now with the CNI's CCN-CERT for investigation.
