Karl Burke pays tribute to Fallen Angel after fatal injury at Longchamp

Fallen Angel, the Karl Burke-trained filly who won the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh in September, suffered a fatal injury in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday. The three-year-old was pulled up in the straight and could not be saved. Burke said: 'Words can't describe how heartbroken we are.' The result of the race was overshadowed by the loss.
