Ronaldo opens up on Portugal exit, says Jesus broke two promises

Cristiano Ronaldo, 41, said head coach Jorge Jesus broke two promises made to him before he left the Portugal camp: that he would be central to the project and would play both the first and last matches of the international window. Ronaldo also rejected an offer to stay in Portugal instead of travelling for the fixtures against Norway and Denmark, and denied wanting ceremonial farewell appearances. He published the account on Instagram on Tuesday, saying he wanted to end the speculation himself.
