Heeney wins Swans best and fairest while suspended, after failed Fiji romance bid
Sydney Swans forward Isaac Heeney won the club's best and fairest award for 2026 despite being suspended over a hotel incident, and the club faced criticism from sexual assault advocates over its messaging around the honour. Heeney also lost out in a much-publicised bid to win back a partner in Fiji, a trip the Herald Sun framed as a failed romance rescue. He says he cannot wait to resume his AFL career once his suspension ends.
