Melbourne earthquake: Late-night tremor rattles Victoria
A magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck near Leongatha, about 135 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, at 2.01am on Saturday. Geoscience Australia recorded the quake at a depth of 10 metres. More than 10,000 felt reports were lodged by 2.30am. The SES said there was no immediate threat to the community.
